What is it with Star Jones?
She is looking for that gold at the end of a rainbow when there was never a rainbow.
Now that she's all "mad", she's getting rid of her baggage. First is was her weight and now her soon-to-be-ex hubs, Al "when does my alimony kick in" Reynolds.
Look, I am not the best when it comes to picking men either, but let's look closely.
Star should have taken a page from the Oprah Winfrey book of "don't get married 'cuz the divorce, and there WILL be a divorce, will be nasty as hell and you'll have to pay him alimony 'cuz he's broke."
Somehow, Oprah got that message. But, many women in Hollywood don't get that message. The women are too busy thinking with their crotch as much as the men.
Now, we can all take a tip from Star on what not to do.
But Al is trying to throw in his two cents, 'cuz that's all he has, right?
The soon-to-be ex-husband of Star Jones says he's "been called a gigolo, a freeloader, unemployed, a sham and many other things that don't bear repeating" since Jones filed for divorce in March.
Reynolds posted a 485-word rant on MySpace and Facebook on Tuesday, using the social-networking Web sites to air his frustrations with media coverage.
"If you think you are having a tough day, may I propose you walk in my shoes for a few hours," reads the opening line. "In my mind, it feels like 'Dump on Al Month.'"
His publicist issued Reynolds' only official statement on his split from Jones after three years of marriage: "We are taking the high road."
"As much as I want to defend myself, it seems like a silly and futile exercise," Reynolds writes. "It's clear that the media doesn't want to let the truth get in the way of a good story. I hate to ruin their fun."
Star Jones. She "hoed" herself for love and in the end, she'll have to pay him for it anyway.Source
